How do you define a blog
I have been building and designing web sites for nearly twelve years but only recently started getting interested in all things blog. The interesting thing for me about blogs is how people try to define them. In the same way Web 2.0 has received numerous people and companies telling us what it is blogs are also often described in various ways I have tried to define blogs in two distinctive ways : 1 (a to m) : from both a functional and technical perspective 2 (a to h) : from a conceptual and slightly more emotional perspective...

In a recent Ad Age article the Internet is defined as a dominant player. A recent study from the Online Publishers Association is the main topic of the article. In a few words the study demonstrates media planning companies are evidently underestimating the value of the Internet reach and thus the cost of advertising on the Internet compared to TV....

When you read "All Web sites are alike" at Fortune and you're not one of the media juggernauts quoted like ABC, Google or Time Magazine, you may finish the article in good spirit. It's a fierce world out there, be it real or virtual; bringing your site into the spotlight is hard, harder still when you are not well known. As the article points out, the quality of the content you publish is a key factor in the number of people visiting your site. Even sites like flickr, that could be considered successful solely due to the great service they offer, also provide some excellent photos and content. Telecom companies in the US are however on course to disrupt the Internet as we know it vigorously opposing all Net Neutrality bills to block them from controlling how and what can be accessed over the Internet....
