Has advertising illegal services become legal !?


A bizarre trend is leading hackers to advertise their services. An industry that is inked to make around $7.5 million every hour would be expected to advertise. The fact that all activities are completely illegal means the hacker industry is less inclined to advertise services available until now ! The blurred image of who is behind this, is getting an overhaul...

The image of who is behind such a profitable industry is unfortunately for agencies like the FBI still blurred. Although the group behind the quoted advert 'Carderplanet' is indicated to be disbanded, recent articles demonstrate the complexity and efficiency of scams from similar groups. The Carderplanet are quoted to mainly be an "international group of credit card and identity thieves".

Groups like Carderplanet and Shadowcrew were supposedly shut down via the US thanks to an informant who was a high ranking of both groups according to Baselinemag's article.

The washingtonpost article links to this page where you can see the advert provided by the FBI, which was being used to promote the CarderPlanet services.
