The advert below has Bob Dylan appearing alongside iPods and iTunes however the common iPod shadow advert is far more real. All including Dylan are clearly recognisable and are not computer generated shadows. Dylan plays music from his new album "Modern Times". The title of the album fits in nicely with this combination of old and new media images that spring from the meeting of Dylan and Apple...





Article Title: Bob and Apple join bands
Although the music resembles his most successful genre of music, his most famous songs had real messages and impact on society at that time. This does not seem to be the case with the album "Modern Times". Albums like "Desire" and "Highway 61 revisited" were not only poetic and powerful but carried real meaning in a near Shakespearean style. From this perspective "Modern Times" seems nearly superficial in comparison. Maybe this is a stepping stone, an album that will guide Dylan to a style (he loves changing, we know that) which will accompany a powerful and legendary album to come ?
